Some Beach Therapy

There's something to be said about being on the beach on a sunny day and letting the sand run through your fingers and digging your toes in the warm sand. We had a great day at the beach when my family was here.

My dad dug a little hole and made himself a cozy spot to watch the beach activities.

Terry has always talked about getting a nice kite while he was here. He got one that has two strings attached that you can make dip and dive in the air. It was nice too see him finally getting to do something he has talked about for a while.

Tytus picked out this shark kite. The Coast is a great place even for little kids to fly a kite easily. It gets so windy that all you have to do is let out a little string and it is flying, but hold on our your chasing your kite down the beach. We know this because Matt and Terry had to do this a couple times....=)

Taytum's kite was my favorite. I had seen this octopus kite at the kite store the day before and was oogling over it, but decided I didn't need one. When Taytum pulled it out to show what she had picked out the next day, I was thinking she is soo my kind of girl!

He is all beach dog. Tuff can't get enough of the beach and he is so good. It is so nice having a dog that we can have off the leash and he doesn't bother other families. He hangs by us and follows us down to the water when we go.

mmmm....sand pies...

The beach can be fun, but let me tell you it can turn fast. By 4 in the afternoon the wind moved in and even though the sun was out it got down right cold. We packed up everything as fast as we could without getting blowed away and headed back to the beach house for some hot tub time.
