Bird watching

We have a nature area by our house and a couple weeks ago when I was walking the dogs I saw lady parked with some heavy duty camera looking up into the sky. When I saw that she was looking at this tall post with a bird on top I decided to stop and talk to her. I thought it was a Falcon, but she told me she has been watching it for quite some time and it was an Osprey. She also said it will only be a matter of time and there will probably be babies hatching.

Hunter and I rode our bikes to check and see if the babies had hatched yet....no babies yet. I'm going to have to keep checking it out to see when the babies come. Hunter was mostly interested in daddy's binoculars than the bird.

I was bummed our family missed out in seeing bald eagles migrate toward the river when we lived near St Louis so this is pretty cool!
