The floors are done! Matt and I are both happy with the way they turned out. It definitely updates our home and gives it a different feel. I wasn't so sure when I bought the rug with the squares below if it was going to look right, but once we put it down on the wood floors I was pleasantly happy with the look it gave the room. I love the rugs on the wood floors, I feel like it is another way a girl can accessorize!
There will be some little things to get used to with the wood floors verses the carpet. This morning when I was getting ready for work I was trying to be quiet as others were still sleeping. Chloe our puppy started scratching herself and her leg was hitting the floor. Well our other dog, Tuff heard that noise and took it as someone knocking at our door and starts doing his gruff, guarding bark at our door. Since Tuff was barking, the puppy decides she needs to start barking too....well there goes the quiet.

I really love my wood floors so I hope you will also. I think they are easier to keep clean when you have pets and little ones. A little noise and cold but worth it. Yours look very nice and the rug goes well with them.
