A 3 year old's accomplishment

Tonight I was helping Hunter get his jammies on for bedtime. I was starting to button Hunter's pajama top when he says, "no, mom I can do it." I stop and am impressed by a) that he wants to do it on his own and b) that he is ever so carefully and intently doing it on his own.

I sit back back and am filled with pride as I watch my little boys determination to button his Batman jammies. A simple thing that I as an adult takes for granted that I know how to do, he is learning.

I realize this is not the winning touchdown or some "A" paper that he has brought home from school, but tonight in his room filled with stuffed animals on his bed and a little green alien night light illuminating it, this is a big accomplishment to his mom.

Yea for Hunter! Nathan still struggles with buttoning. So that is great for Hunter!
