Hunter loves finger painting and I like him to do it for his creative side. It seems like with finger painting you definitely have to set a time frame for it, because of the mess and getting a all of the supplies out and clean up.
Recently I bought a Crayola Color Wonder Finger Painting kit at Target. I was drawn to it because the package it said mess free. I thought finger painting and mess free didn't seem to go in the same sentence, so I had to check this out. It was a little more than I wanted to pay for it, $5.69. It came with 30 pages of paper and the paint.
The downside of this project is the paint can only be used on the paper provided and if your kid is anything like mine the paint goes fast. Hunter has used it twice and I think we may have one more use out of it. I will definitely run out of the paint and still have about 20 pages of paper left. I will need to see how much it is to get just the paint. The other down part is it is a little greasy.
The upside is, it is totally mess free and Hunter loved it. For me it was worth the money I paid for it to not have the mess and have a craft for Hunter to do that I didn't have to buy a bunch of stuff for.

I tried these too and thought the finger paint was fine but did NOT like the paint brush kit. I wouldn't recommend that one. It was a mess!
I have to agree I did not like the paint brush or these paints either. Way too greasy. My kids would dig in it like dip and just have a greasy mess on my couch and anything else they touched (imagine a jon & Kate Kate flip out!) I do really love the markers though and use them in church almost every Sunday!
