On our way home today I was asking Hunter how his day was and what he did. This is how the conversation went:
Mom - "What did you do today?"
Hunter - "Played outside."
Mom - "Who did you play with"
Hunter - "Amy"
Mom - "Who's Amy?" (There are no kids at daycare with the name of Amy. We don't even know an Amy.)
Hunter - "She's right here"
I turned around to look at Hunter in the back seat to see him holding his hand up for me to look at his cupped little hand.
Mom - "Where? In your hand?"
Hunter - "Yes, she just flied away."
Mom - "What is she? A dragonfly?"
Hunter - "No. She's a boy."
Mom - "Where did he or she fly too?"
Hunter - "Home."
It is funny to see how Hunter's imagination is growing. I don't remember having an imaginary friend when I was little. I know it is completely normal, but I am wondering if other people I know or your kids had an imaginary friends growing up?

Sam did for awhile but not long. I think it is great. It shows he has an imagination which is rare now days, don't you think?
Your such a good Mom! Hunter is lucky to have such loving caring parents. Happy Mothers day. Love uncle Maurice
Makayla had an imaginary friend for years. I can't tell you how many times I would make the mistake of sitting next to her on the couch only to find out I had sat on Katherine (the imaginary friend)! Or we would be going outside and I would close the door on her. This went on until she was around 7. I think it is part of being an only child! :)
