Sick

So I stayed home with Hunter today because he is sick. He is just not having a good day. He started out the day by rolling out of bed this morning. I got him back settled into bed because it was only 4:45 am and about 20 minutes later he came into our room whining. He had wet his pants and bed. So I got him changed and by that time I was up for the day. I went into the kitchen to get us both something to drink and he came in and was laying on the floor saying his stomach hurt and then all of a sudden he was throwing up. This is only the second time I have seen him throw up. The first time he was a baby so to him this is like the first time he has thrown up and he was scared. Poor guy.

I have been trying to get small amounts of water in him and he is happy to drink, but the problem is he is a little to happy to drink. I have been limiting the amount of water he is drinking, because I was out of the room and came back and he had chugged half of a cup of water and 10 minutes later I walked in the room and it was like a scene from Exorcist with throw up across our couch.

It is now 1:25 pm and he is taking a nap. He has thrown up 10 times. I have lost count how many times I have changed his clothes. I have done two loads of laundry. One of our couches is quarantined because it is wet from wiping off all of the puke.

I have heard the diarrhea and vomiting is going around. I was hoping it would pass us, but looks like it hit us smack dab in the face.

Oh ick! That sounds just awful! I totally sympathize with you. Taking care of sick babies not matter the age just is NO fun!

I can handle most anything but body fluids... So I really feel for you. I would be feeling sick just from the smell and sight.
Poor Hunter, hope it is only the 24 hour bug.

Sorry April. Somehow I feel I'm the cause of some of this. Not sure where we got it though. I'm all about sharing the love but not that much!

April, my family was hit with this as well a couple of months ago. It is absolutely miserable. I feel your pain. Thankfully the throwing up and diarehia sp? only lasted 24 hours. Someone told me to use the b.r.a.t diet when it comes to this sort of thing: banana's, rice, applesauce and toast. I believe that is for the diarehia though. Stick in there, poor little guy!

Tytus was funny when he was sick. I stayed home with him and I told him that he had to drink his pedialite slowly. So I give it to him and turn around then look back at him and it is gone. He had a look on his face like I am dying of thirst here what do you expect me to do. Needless to say it didn't stay down either. So I think the popcicles are the best think to get some slow fluids in.
