This morning Hunter was such a trooper going with mommy to two grocery stores getting the groceries for the next two weeks. I decided that after his nap we should do a fun activity and with all of the rain, hail and snow we got here today it would be good to do an indoor craft. I had never made homemade play-doh. Hunter loves playing with play-doh and I have always just bought it. So I decided that this would be a good activity for him to help mommy with and to be able to play with it when we were done.
Hunter got up from his nap a little whiny. My first thought was I wondered if we should bag the play-doh activity until he was in a better mood, but of course he remembered right away that were going to make play-doh when he got up from his nap. So, I decided whiny or not we would dive in and make it.
I think I may have had high hopes for him being a 2 almost 3 year old and his attention span on such a project. We got the flour and salt poured into the bowl and Hunter insisted on measuring the cream of tartar by himself and ended up pouring way more in the bowl then should have been and on the floor. I was just getting ready to pour the water into the bowl to mix the play-doh and Hunter was on to the next project..."mommy do you want to build a fort?" So needless to say Hunter was onto his next adventure and mommy was left finishing the play doh. =)
I think for now I will just stick with buying play-doh....

I am with you on that one! I have made play-doh a couple times but to be honest with you its so cheap I would rather just buy it ;)
I have yet to make play doh but everyone who knows me knows I would rather buy the crafty stuff than make it! Cute story April. Keep them coming! Love hearing about your family.
