I haven't posted anything on here about being pregnant. I guess I kind of wanted to wait to make sure I was in the clear. I have felt good about this pregnancy, but with pregnancies in the past I have had complications and so I guess I was a little leery about writing about it before I got past a certain point.

Today I am at 27 weeks. We've already had a handful of ultrasounds by now. My doctor started me on ultrasounds every two weeks to keep an eye on my cervix since Hunter was born so early. We started out with the first ultrasound October 29th where found out we were having a sweet little girl. The day of the this ultrasound was a little rough as Matt was up sick the night before and we ended up taking him to an see the doctor in the morning and found out he had strep throat. We got done with Matt's appointment just in time to go to my ultrasound, but with Matt having Strep throat we decided it would not be good for him to go into the ultrasound room being contagious. Hunter and I went into the ultrasound and decided that we would have them put whatever sex it was in an envelope and wait to look at it until we go to the car so we could all find out together.

I had an ultrasound the beginning of December that showed my cervix was shortening. It went from 4 something to 2.43. At that point my doctor decided to put me down to 20 hours a week and ordered me not to do anything while I was at home. Then last Friday I went in for my next ultrasound which showed my cervix had shortened more. 2.43 to a little over 2. The doctor decided to take me off work and put me on bed rest at home. The only thing that saved me is the Fetal Fibronectin test came back negative. It is a test that can detect if a baby is going to be coming prematurely in two weeks. If it would have come back positive I would have been hospital bed rest bound. I'm so very thankful to be at home on bed rest for now!

Enjoy your downtime as much as you can and get this little girl here safely. You'll be busy the rest of your life.
I love that you have brown boots on and a black shirt. :)
