A July 4th parade

We like to make it to the local 4th of July parade every year as long as we don't go camping. We have some great friends that live very close to the parade route and let us invade on their front row spot, which makes it nice not to have people in front of you.

It is a very long parade, almost 2 hours and there is a lot of candy to be had. The kids accumulated 3 grocery bags full of candy. I actually found two of the bags today in my pots and pan cupboard in my kitchen that my brother had stashed not wanting to take it home. That little booger! Guess I will have a lot to take to work for the candy bucket to give away.

As you can tell by the picture the morning started off a little chilly.

One of the motorcycle deputies came by and was kind enough to let the kids sit on his bike. The kids were in hog heaven. Check out Tytus's expression. He really looks like he means business!

Taytum was happy to get this little blow horn and frisbee instead of the millions of pieces of candy.

We all had a great time and I was so excited to be able to share the parade experience with my family!
