Line up

It was bed time and Hunter and I were laying in his bed talking about our day. He suddenly sits up in bed and looks at me with a smile. "Mom! Do you know what we learned in school?"

"No. What?" Wondering what he is going to tell me as it seems I get bits a pieces from him throughout the evening about what he has done at school. Am I the only the mom that would like a full run down of what they did at school in your kids words...ok, I know this is not realistic...let me get back on track.

He is looking at me with his eyes big, "We learned how to stand in a line!"

Me - "Wow, that is cool! Did you walk in a line?"

Hunter - "Yes! Out to the playground."

Oh, how I love the excitement he has for these simple things that we as adults take for granted.

We seem to get little tidbits of school information all evening. It never seems to be at once or when we ask him what he did at school today. The other day he got his leg stuck in some equipment at recess and he did not even tell us about it. His teacher came and told me.
