Mickey and Friends

Every morning when you get to Disneyland some of the characters are in the city center when you first walk in to meet and get pictures with. Hunter loves Donald and we knew before going he was the main one Hunter wanted to meet. We also heard he was very hard to find. So were on a mission. We were very surprised to find him the first day we walked in. When Hunter saw him he was instantly shy and freaked out not wanting to meet him or any of the "friends" as he calls them. I told Hunter he didn't have to meet them if he didn't want to, but that mommy and daddy wanted to wait in line and meet them. By the time the line got to us he still hadn't changed his mind. So I walked up and got my picture with Donald. Donald looked over at Hunter and gave him a thumbs up and waved his hand for Hunter to come over and Hunter slowly did....but he kept a distance with me in between.
I love how Donald gave him knuckles....=)

Chip n ' Dale was a fast meet.... two "friends" together was a little too much to handle.
The last day we met Goofy and Hunter finally was warmed up to the "friends" and was able to stand next to them without Matt or I in between.
The only "friend" we weren't able to meet in person that we wanted to see was Daisy. Hunter has a major crush on Daisy. We saw her in the parade, but we were not able to hunt her down. He asked about her every day and on the last day we asked one of the staff members where we could find Daisy and they said she mainly hangs out at one of the hotels and that was about the only place we could find her....so needless to say we were unable to find Hunter's squeeze.

In Toontown you can go into Goofy, Donald, Mickey, Minnie and Chip n' Dales house. Above is Matt in Donald's boat house. It was fun walking through each house seeing how each "friend" had their house set up with their furniture. As we were going through the houses Hunter kept asking when they were going to be coming home. He was so afraid to be in one of their houses and they would show up and he didn't want that to happen. We practically ran through Mickey's house because he was so afraid he would encounter Mickey!

that is too funny that he thought he was going to get caught in their houses!

Also that he has a crush on Daisy ;)

I love the part about him being afraid of being in their homes while they were out. I never thought of that! Cute.

This is very interesting to me. I didn't realize you had to wait in line to meet these "friends". I don't know if the boys would care to meet anyone but I know a little girl that would wait in line! :-)
