Darth Maul boy

Hunter is a huge fan of Star Wars! His two favorite things while we were at Disney was the Jedi training and making his own light saber. The Jedi training is where the Jedi's themselves have kids go on stage and they show them how to swing a light saber then the kid gets to fight Darth Maul or Darth Vader. It was very cool! About 20 kids get chosen out of the audience to do the training. Hunter didn't get chosen, which is probably for the best because I think he may have chickened out being that close to Darth Maul. He was kind of scary looking even for an adult to look at.

We surprised Hunter towards the end of the last day and told him that he could build his own light saber. At the end of the Star tours ride there's a station where you can build your own light saber. He was jacked...to him it was the best thing he had ever done. He picked out the Darth Maul light saber, which had a saber on each end and was the biggest one. It was a cool dude project that Matt and Hunter worked on together. I was nervous when I first saw it built that we wouldn't be able to get it back on the plane or pack it, but Matt reminded me that we could take it apart. Hunter kept saying he finally had a "real" light saber.

The look on Hunter's face is his "Darth Maul" face....=)

You are just the best mom ever letting him build one of those! He will have that memory forever!

My that is long! It looks so awkward for him! Funny how boys always love the evil people toys the best.
