Peas again!

Just a little update on the fruit/veggie New Years Resolution....

We have been having a vegetable and fruit every night for dinner. (fruits don't seem to be as big of an issue as the veggies) Last night it was green beans, which Hunter doesn't have any problems eating. Don't get me wrong it does take constant reminders, but at least he will eat them. The night before we had broccoli, which I doctored up with cheese and he ate two of the tiniest flea bites you could imagine and wouldn't touch anymore.

So tonight I made peas again. The last peas I served were frozen so this time I decided to try canned peas. I put his plate on the table and just as I expected..."I don't like peas." I tell him "you at least need to try them."

We get to talking and eating and I notice as we are talking that he took not one bite of peas, but is on his third bite of peas. Inside I am jumping up and down. I am so happy, after last week of pleading and bribing him to eat his peas. Although, I feel like if he sees that I am too excited he will just be satisfied with the three bites and be done....I look at over at say, "Wow, buddy I am so proud of you for eating your peas." He looks down at his bowl like he is kind of surprised, but he is beaming and says, "I am almost done with them!"

I couldn't believe he not only ate all of his peas tonight, but they were one of the first things gone! I was so glad I thought to try the canned verses the frozen...what a big difference!
