Going to bed

Momma giving Hunter a piggy back ride to bed.

We are getting Hunter ready for a big boy. We are going out this weekend to get Hunter a full size bed. We were going to get a twin at first, but decided that a full would probably save us money in the long run.

We converted Hunter's crib into a daybed in December and he has done a pretty good job adjusting to it. One of my biggest fears was he was going to roll out of bed and of course that hasn't happened yet. There are times when I miss his crib, now that he has his new found freedom of getting out of bed whenever he wants, like say at 3:30 in the morning. This seems to happen once or twice a week, which isn't too bad. I guess it could be worse.

Can I also say I feel like paybacks have come full circle when he drags on his bedtime routine with one more book, or one more kiss or I need a drink of water. I think in some little way my dad is feeling a little redemption...

I totally feel your pain on this one! My girls are in bunk beds right now so by the time the chatting or trying to climb back and forth to each others bed ends I am exhausted! Plus Erin likes to wake up about that same time couple times a week to come in and ask me if she can have a yogurt. Uggh!

It so nice to hear other parents who are going through the same things...
